ABOUT

Le Mans

The 250 LM came after Ferrari decided to make the '64 GTO a mid-engine track weapon. The nomenclature at the time dictated it to be the 275, but Enzo himself wanted to preserve the image that the 250 emblem carried with it. I'm not particularly concerned with that half.

In my pursuit to enhance what I find to be one of the most beautiful racing efforts ever put to track I looked once again to the one manufacturer who managed to evoke Enzo's envy with their design. The Jaguar XJ13 was a Le Mans prototype that unfortunately never made it to the Sartre. But how legendary was its design, how outlandish was its appearance that it is still remembered to this day, even after the only example was almost lost.

I then hereby present a marriage of two Le Mans legends. A champion and a ghost, united in harmony. The passionate Ferrari lines are transferred to the Jaguar's otherworldly proportions to give us the best of both. Presented in a Targa configuration with a removable roof, here is the 275 LM.

This work is a part of a trio of classic Ferrari redesigns.
