ABOUT

Apple

Apple's design has for a long time intrigued me. It feels like every element was reduced to its essence and then refined from there. Something I have attempted before with a few projects.

Every design element is crafted to be unique without recurring to unnecessary complexity. The materials feel carefully picked to let the user know they're exactly what they're meant to be.

I have taken great care to pick out both materials and design elements for this project. The bumpers mimic the chassis rail on an iPhone. The camera array takes the place of the headlights. The minimalistic speaker grills adorn the rear.

Bronco

The Ford Bronco has been on my mind for a long while now. Its design, like many other Ford designs from that period, has aged to look muscular in a very recognisable way.

While watching an old TV show where they rebuilt one as a rock crawler I got a peek at it with the grill and headlights removed. It was a blank slate like no other. The curves around it felt inspiring yet unrestrictive.

Every element fell in place as if meant to be from the start. A unique marriage between two styles, decades apart. A classic look reimagined for the current consumer, not too dissimilar from Ford's F-100 electric conversion.

Pro Max

As with any and everything Apple nowadays, the branding was kept to an absolute minimum. If they're going to see a logo, make it count. Every element transferred from one design to the other was carefully chosen and considered.

The front was left as clean as an iPhone's backplate. The side mirrors were recolored to match the car's exterior. All unnecessary detail was left black to avoid distractions. A gigantic Lightning charging port was humorously added to the rear door as a nod to the project's inspiration.

If Apple does announce their rumoured vehicle it may look nothing like this. This is simply a visualization of a surreal "what if" scenario. Enjoy
