NSX

The Honda NSX, sold as the Acura NSX in certain places, was a true mid engine supercar. Built to go toe-to-toe with the Ferrari offerings from its era, it was made to rival them in both looks and performance.

Since then it has spawned many followers for both model and make, a handful of racing variants and a (decades late) sequel. Its legacy is very alive with many tuning and tweaking its design to this day.

This project brings it to life in a whole new style. Developed under the Sex Marshal fictional brand, it is the second car to receive this outlandish treatment. What was left on paper last time is brought to the forefront now.

Fully redesigned front. Rebalanced rear design. And something new under the hood.

XX

The Ferrari XX program is a legend held above the Tifosi, the brand's most dedicated fans, ever since the Enzo was adapted into the first XX car. To this day, three models, in two variants each, have been released.

Inspired by this initiative, the NSX-XX bears a few design cues from the most recent entry into the program, the FXX-K- The pop-up headlights were redesigned to more closely resemble the Ferrari and the spoiler was removed, leaving short winglets in its place.

Finally, as if there weren't enough Ferrari references already, the Honda powerplant was pulled and replaced with a Ferrari F136 V8. Gone are the days of 90's power on a 90's car. This upgrade brings it to a new decade, providing all the speed you need on the streets of Tokyo.

SG

Over the last few months I have been looking into ways of speeding up my workflow. Some have led me to cut down on time pits. Others have provided ways of getting similar results in a fraction of time.

Naturally, as cut corners stack, the final result suffers. To better communicate to anyone interested the cost of said corners I'll be uploading two series of renders for this project. This being the first one.

This will be the SG, or Standard Grade series. Borrowing the naming convention from Japanese models felt appropriate. In this series the renders were all limited to a base number of samples and then passed through a denoiser to reduce artifacts.

I'll be publishing a second, shorter series with full sample count. Everything else will be the same scene-wise. Stay on the lookout for the HG, or High Grade series.
