ABOUT
Launching into JD Sports’ best-performing store at Westfield Stratford, as well as JD Sports Bluewater, following its prototype in Paris earlier this year, adidas reveals a new utilitarian branded space exhibiting its latest collection of apparel and footwear across Women’s, Men’s and Juniors’.
Briefed to curate the best adidas experience across both wall and floor with integrated digital, we curated a timeless branded space design unique to JD that seeks to solidify the brand’s position within the popular multi-brand sports retailer.
We championed a stainless-steel aesthetic for a premium presentation that illustrates confidence in simplicity. A brushed stainless-steel surround with countersunk bolt details frame architectural grade woven stainless-steel mesh which creates a backdrop for adidas’ range, whilst illuminated plinths mimicking rolled steel joists create a polished platform for low-level footwear. A trio of light bars pay homage to adidas’ three stripe trademark championing performance, design and craftsmanship, whilst trefoil logos and wall bay base illuminations distinguish adidas’ showcase from competitor brands.
This commanding framing mechanism and branded space design can seamlessly flex between JD’s retail systems, including wall bays, flight cases and mid-floors, allowing adidas’ range to stand out across JD’s primary product categories. Complementary graphics and pegboard plinths accommodating clothing rails and shoe stalks topped with shoe plates further enhance an already powerful product showcase through purposeful brand storytelling.
Briggs Hillier’s Associate Creative Director, Adam Price, said: “Simplicity in stainless steel — where confident design meets refined craftsmanship. This design is all about the details, allowing the product to take centre stage and tell its own story. We’re grateful to have collaborated with such talented teams who brought this vision to life. A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this happen! Excited to see this elegant design roll out across stores worldwide, setting a new standard for excellence.”
