Some projects are rooted in a place; others seem to grow out of it. Together with Storyn, we had the pleasure of creating the visuals for Rum & Ruin, a contemporary Caribbean distillery and cultural destination in St. Thomas, where the architecture draws from the weathered ruins, industrial remnants and tropical landscape of the Virgin Islands.

Built around the idea of an “inhabited ruin”, the project blends production, hospitality and public spaces through heavy stone walls, shaded courtyards, lush planting and open-air terraces.
A particularly atmospheric project to bring to life, balancing the roughness of its material palette with the warmth and vibrancy of its Caribbean setting.
