Each year in the UK, brands spend millions of pounds on Christmas ads – it's like their Super Bowl. When I lived there, I always wanted to make one. So this year, when we adapted our Hellmann's Animal Crossing virtual food drive for the UK, we used the opportunity to make a commercial using only in-game footage, meaning ZERO filming costs. Then we enlisted Animal Crossing-enthusiast Stephen Fry to narrate. 2020 was a long year and it was nice to end the year and my time at Ogilvy with this fun one...
