The task was to create a new expression of Coca-Cola’s successful ‘Real Magic’ platform and to do this in a way that only their brand can.
Coca-Cola identified that we all have a slump in the afternoon (usually post lunch) so how do we convince our Gen Z target audience that a chilled Coca Cola gives them the ultimate refreshing physical and emotional uplift when they are struggling and need it most?
Our goal was to tell this artistic story through a music score carrying a memorable theme combined with sound design that brings these visual pieces to life and pulls the audience into the artwork. We created an immersive sound experience that surrounds guests in the real magic of Coca-Cola. From the very start of our creation we knew the music had to tell a story of this student and what he was dreaming up in his head. The adventure, the angst, the discovery, the surprise, and the passion which all leads to the refreshing spark that Coca-Cola delivers and inspires him with. The music was pre-scored before there was a full film to work with and continually evolved as the film was created in parallel. All magnificently arranged and then recorded by a full 80 piece orchestra to bring the humanity to life through sound. The sound design was created through live foley sessions and custom crafted sounds and finally mixed into an immersive dolby ready surround mix for multiple media platforms.
