Our client was looking for an innovative project to bridge the gap between American female students, and Muslim female students in the Middle East. So I pitched that we identify a wall in Denver, CO and a wall in Afghanistan. We gathered a group of American students to paint a mural of the famous photograph by Steve McCurry, entitled "Afghan Girl". We also gathered a group of female students to paint the same mural in their location. The two groups of students, painting this striking mural as a testament to the strength of unity and community and women's rights to education. It was a very powerful experiential project with a very positive result and impact.
