ABOUT

As a freelancer, I have chosen Breebird as a branding tool for my future projects. I have combined blue and red as the theme, using red as an accent. The three cardinals siting on a branch with one red cardinal singing represent my ability to stand out in a crowd. I am the red cardinal, born in the state of Indiana, where the cardinal is the state bird. I draw inspiration for this main graphic from the work of Charley Harper. I love his use of simple sharps and strong angles. My style is also inspired by the playfulness and color use of Joey Chou. I chose a one page responsive layout that can be accessibly on multiple devices. I felt that this layout option was a modern trend that fit my design aesthetic. The design contains many circular elements, even circle-shaped thumbnails to represent my portfolio pieces.
