ABOUT

One Formation is a Leeds-based organisation whose purpose was to improve the opportunities for local communities, especially young people and children. Through the discipline of sport, they help keep vulnerable youngsters motivated and out of the hands of gangs and extremist influences.

Along with a talented designer, I was tasked with developing the branding for the organisation, which included the overall look and feel, tone of voice, content and photography, that would live on their website and other collateral.

Inspiration for the identity and logotype came from the organisation's name. Using the idea of the tactic diagrams football managers use in their training sessions to explain game plays, was set within the logotype and became the basis of the visual language for the entire project.
