Bomper Studio Caerphilly

ABOUT

Bomper were engaged to work in collaboration with global creative agency Pearlfisher and structural packaging experts i2ieurope in solving the problem of visualising products for the new Mothercare ‘Innosense’ range, which at the time of the packaging going to print did not physically exist yet… With the product range still in the process of being manufactured overseas, there were no actual physical products available to shoot for the pack photography.

Utilising manufacturing CAD models, along with samples of production materials and Pantone colour references, Bomper’s task was to realistically (and convincingly) recreate the products, entirely in 3D. The range consisted of 20 unique products to be modelled, with photorealistic CGI visuals required for front and back of pack – various views of each product, along with several group shots – totalling more than 60 visuals.

Creative agency Pearlfisher designed the packaging, and in doing so set clear design direction for the CGI pack shot visuals. This including strict restrictions on the viewing angles of each product, and visual consistency across the entire range was of great importance.
