Bomper studio was engaged to create the 3D Characters for the Nottingham Building Society print campaign running alongside the new piggy bank promotion utilising the same characters. Briefed with the concept art created by Ilias Arahovitis we were tasked with building the characters from scratch so that they could be posed in various scenarios in the promotional campaign.
The hardest task was rigging the characters for poses that were not already signed off, so making sure we had a robust rig that we could throw each character in to a scene was imperative. There were some tweaks needed in the 3d modelling stage to soften some of the features like the eye socket depths to make the charters ‘friendlier’.
All the modelling, texturing, rigging and rendering was done in Cinema 4d R15 and delivered in various formats from A4 to massive billboard renders.
