The time has come, the coals are hot, the design is fire and Ateesh restaurant has opened its doors. We designed a bespoke wallpaper for Kasaei Holdings for Ponteland’s Persian fusion gem. Persepolis is a search for Elysium through visual storytelling. provocative and captivating, enticing you in until you get lost amongst the intoxicating depths of the design layers. The brief was to create a design that has the very essence of Persia at the core - in a modern direction. Harnessing folklore, magic of old and nature to enable us to transcend to new heights, within the rich and diverse history of Persia. Taking inspiration from the ancient ceremonial site of Persepolis alongside mythical creatures reflective of Persian folklore we represent the deep-rooted paradigm. The figures believed (amongst others) to protect those who wish only the best for humanity. Paired with Biophillic elements to give the illusion of life and movement within the design, subconsciously tapping into the wellbeing of the audience by using nature to provide comfort and harmony. All the while connecting intrinsically to Persian heritage through the power of the earth with every biophilic element grown on Persian soil, with some going further in nature, nurture and fertility by featuring heavily within Persian cuisine...looking at you Saffron, which makes it a perfect addition reflective of the hot coals and vibrant menu’s at Ateesh. The colour palette chosen is a nod to traditional and historical Persian Art. But we’ve given it a modern and inspired twist. The colour becomes as rich and bold as the Persian culture. It’s wild and energetic providing warmth as it slips through your senses. It is life. Come see it for yourself and let it evoke your senses at both at Ateesh
