Bob's work

About Bob

Since graduating with a BA Hons in Illustration I have enjoyed success with a broad range of creative projects, from regional campaigns with councils to published children's books. I have also lead creative workshops within schools. I work primary digitally, creating a lot of my work using Adobe Photoshop though lately I have been using watercolours to broaden my skillset. These designs ultimately appear on my own greetings cards that I distribute personally.

Through my own Internet promotion I was approached by an independent publisher in Birmingham to illustrate a children's book that they had wrote. I created 14 full-page illustrations for the book which took me about 6 weeks to complete in the summer of 2006. I also produced the layout for the pages and type using Adobe Illustrator that ultimately had to be self-taught.

I have also worked closely with youth group in Newcastle, producing promotional items for a drama production they performed (a custom-made deck of playing cards, congratulatory certificates/cards). On the success of this I was then asked to illustrate a poster campaign for a Peer Pressure Initiative project to be displayed across the North West.

Recently I have also been working closely with Multi-ACTIVE sports coaches in the West Midlands to create promotional materials. Following on from this I was then asked to create further items for Central Coaching Sports Academy, also located in Birmingham. I have also undertaken the basic maintanance of their website aswell as producing leaflets and brochures in the form of PDFs that ultimately go to print.

I am very passionate about my creative endeavors and look to challenge myself with new and unfamiliar tasks. I have designed and maintain my own webpage set up demonstrating my portfolio of work that can be found at *.
