In celebration of Black History Month, we wanted to illustrate our commitment to diversity and inclusion by commissioning original works from a young Black artist, Andrea Pippins. The goal was to communicate themes of black culture from a black perspective and show the positive impact on communities and business. These pieces, built around the themes of “Tell, Shine, Fly, All Together Now” were mounted prominently in our entryway during the month of February. Additional elements including a buttons, a digital display and an interactive magnetic board were arranged in the common pantry area. Employees and guests were encouraged to use Andrea’s custom icons to create their own mural representing what Black History Month means to them. Our company values of inclusion, opportunity, and equality came through in this campaign because the design was approached in an authentic, representative way.
