ABOUT

Event identity for a contemporary dance show.

'Fractals' was an experimental performance piece — a dance assembled of individual disjointed gestures, absurd by themselves, yet when viewed together they move as one living flip-book. Drawing inspiration from the iconic photographer Eadweard Muybridge and others, the concept was to create a sense of movement from the stuttering and staccato repetitions that form the backbone of the performance.

A versatile visual identity was created using cut-and-paste making, which could be reassembled to fit a range of posters, flyers and social media applications. The type lockup in Xanh Mono plays with space and flexibility, blending historical inspiration with modern interpretation.
