Billion Dollar Boy Group Acquires Creator Authority, Building The Global Leader In B2B Creator Marketing

Published

Billion Dollar Boy Group (BDB Group), the global leader in creator-led brand building, today announces the acquisition of Creator Authority, the B2B-focused creator marketing agency.

Building The Global Leader In B2B Creator Marketing

The acquisition accelerates BDB Group’s expansion into the fast-growing B2B creator economy, bringing together Creator Authority’s leading B2B and enterprise creator expertise and platform intelligence with the Group’s global infrastructure - including its proprietary AI-powered influencer marketing platform, Companion - to build the leading global technology platform for B2B creator marketing.

It also enables Creator Authority to scale faster within BDB Group’s infrastructure, operating alongside the Group’s established B2C creator marketing services: Billion Dollar Boy, the global social agency with Creator Instinct® that offers end-to-end capabilities including strategy, creative, talent management, production and paid and organic execution; FiveTwoNine, the global platform and community for creator entrepreneurs; as well as Companion.

By bringing Creator Authority - a member of the LinkedIn Marketing Partner Program - into BDB Group, the acquisition also offers BDB Group clients faster activation and closer collaboration with the platform. With 59% of B2B buyers saying they consume creator content on LinkedIn - more than on any other platform - this represents a significant opportunity for BDB Group clients looking to reach highly engaged professional communities.

A Strategic Investment Into A Growing Marketing Channel

The acquisition comes at a time when creators have emerged as a leading channel for B2B marketing. According to new independent BDB Group research - which surveyed 1,000 brand leaders and senior marketing and advertising decision makers across the US and UK - one in five (20%) marketers invested in B2B creator marketing in 2026, making it the second most popular strategic investment into the creator economy this year.

Of the various creator strategies marketers invested in during the past year, they confirmed that B2B creator marketing had delivered the strongest ROI.

As such, the acquisition of Creator Authority represents a strategic investment into a growing marketing channel for BDB Group - which experienced a 24% rise in global revenue over the past 12 months.

Following the acquisition, which integrates Creator Authority’s client roster - including Amazon, Adobe, AT&T, IBM, Dropbox, Gamma, HubSpot, Lovable, Mastercard, Notion and more - global BDB Group revenue is forecast to exceed $100m in 2027, positioning the company as a global powerhouse in the creator economy.

Supported by Leading B2B Creator Expertise

Brendan Gahan, Co-founder and CEO of Creator Authority, will take the role of Senior Vice President, B2B, responsible for market development and new business growth across the B2B creator marketing category. Based in Los Angeles, Brendan brings 20 years of experience in the creator economy and sits on VidCon’s advisory board.

Brendan is joined by a team of specialists including Co-founder, Cassie Jackson, who takes the role of Group Account Director, B2B. Based in Austin, she adds 18 years of agency experience leading clients across social and innovation remits, including with Brendan at former agency, Mekanism. Cassie is overseeing client relationships and delivery across BDB Group’s B2B creator services.

With teams in Los Angeles and Austin, the acquisition of Creator Authority strengthens BDB Group’s US presence alongside its established offices in New York and London, UK. With US influencer marketing spend forecast to grow from $10.5 billion in 2025 to $13.7 billion by 2027, the Group’s expansion into the West Coast - an important market for enterprise, technology and B2B brands - represents a significant growth opportunity for the business.

Ed East, BDB Group Founder and CEO, comments: “B2B is one of the most significant growth opportunities in creator marketing. Creator Authority has built an incredible business by recognizing this opportunity early and understanding what makes B2B creator marketing effective. Combining that specialist expertise and market credibility with BDB Group’s global scale and proprietary technology gives us a powerful opportunity to build the leading B2B creator tech platform.

“Beyond expanding our capabilities through the acquisition, it also allows us to further expand our physical footprint in the U.S. We’ve been rapidly growing our U.S. workforce and strengthening our leadership team over the years as we double down on the U.S. market. Creator Authority helps us deepen our presence, specifically on the West Coast, alongside our established NYC office.”

Brendan Gahan, Co-founder and CEO of Creator Authority, says: “Over the past two decades, creators have transformed consumer advertising. We launched Creator Authority because we believed B2B was next. Now the market is quickly catching up, and joining BDB Group gives us the global reach and infrastructure to meet that demand at scale. We’re looking forward to creating something neither business could build as quickly or as comprehensively on its own.”

Jonathan Hunt, VP of Media and Content, HubSpot, comments: “Creator Authority called the rise of B2B creators on LinkedIn while everyone else was still catching up. Their read on the space is unmatched, and joining BDB Group gives them the scale to match their vision.”

Corporate Natalie, Creator Authority Strategic Advisor and Creator, adds: "When I met Brendan three years ago, Creator Authority was just an idea. I joined as an advisor because I believed in it. This deal clearly signals how fast the B2B creator space is growing, and it’s just getting started!”

The acquisition was led for BDB Group by Thomas Walters, Chief Innovation Officer and co-founder of BDB Group. Creator Authority was advised on the sale by James Creech of Quartermast Partners.
