I have completed my final year at University of the Arts London, studying BA Fashion Journalism, with a 2:1 classification and all my final work appeared in the graduate showcases. In my time as a student, I learnt how to execute my writing correctly for the appropriate audiences by compiling a large and versatile portfolio of written work. Additionally, in my time as a Press and Marketing Assistant at Beyond Retro, one of my main tasks was to create exciting and engaging blog posts and content plans on a weekly basis, as well as controlling all of the social media channels using Hootsuite. Currently, I hold a freelance position for Italian lingerie brand - Rosamosario. I assist with most of the copywriting tasks such as email newsletters, online articles and blog posts however, my role largely involves creating product descriptions for the premium lingerie products. I have worked hard on projects with the owner and founder of the brand to create the right tone and story to fit her products and I always complete these to the required deadline. I have also carried on these skills into another freelance role for, East London based brand, Hope and Ivy.
I have a strong retail background having held a number of roles at AllSaints, Topshop, Underground England and The Ragged Priest. My experience in retail has taught me to think fast and adapt appropriately to most situations and my customer service skills are one of my greatest assets and have made me an excellent and efficient communicator. During my time at Underground England, I undertook a dual role of working both in the shop and office, dealing with online and international customers as well as, the customers from the store and therefore, maintaining fabulous relationships with these clients throughout my time in the role. In my Topshop years, I was also a visual merchandiser and creative, I constantly received trend lead information from my area managers and fed this back to the larger store team. This role also involved providing a personal styling service to both staff and customers and I have carried these skills into my fashion career in PR roles, shoot assisting, creating my own shoots and as a Stylist at AllSaints. I have a strong, commercial knowledge of high-end brands and retailers that coincides well with my extensive knowledge of the fashion and textile industry.
