The band Lahaina Noon commissioned me to make album art for their new single. The specification was to illustrate a hand holding foxgloves, a night sky background and for the fox glove flowers to have lots of detail. They also wanted the colour palette for the flowers include cool blue tones but didn’t want the image to be too gloomy. I enjoyed carrying out this commission. It was fun doing something a bit different, as I am used to making artwork catered for young audience picture books. It was also an interesting challenge to try and follow a specification for the artwork. I mainly used to procreate for this illustration, however I implemented some ink textures using blending modes in the stems of the fox gloves.
