ABOUT
Montgomery, Alabama, December 1, 1955: after the working day, the forty-two-year-old Rosa Parks, with black skin and a seamstress by profession, takes bus 2857, headed home. She sits in a central row, but when a white passenger gets on after a few stops, the driver asks her to get up to give him the seat, as required by the rules of racial segregation.
Rosa replies that «no», she doesn't intend to get up. That refusal suddenly transforms her into a heroine of black rights, engaged in the fight against the segregation that oppressed Alabama and other Southern states.
Last February 4th was the anniversary of the birth.
