ABOUT

I released a new print this week and wanted to share it's background. I've been building sidelines recently, creative ventures to expand me as an illustrator, a business and a human. I want to do new things out of my comfort zone

I started playing with fat lines, making layered flowing lines (like melted sugar work) playing with new colour combos. I played with these lines being typographic, but I did it on a bad day (MH etc), the only word I created was 'FUCK' so I shelved the idea completely.

And then I read a couple of articles about songwriting from the acid house era through to 90s indie, about how the musicians were making music for all people as a collective, and how those eras brought about a sense of community, everything was about unity and 'us'

So I went back to my chunky lines and tried to make something positive to share, something that said togetherness, and so it says 'us' and it's available from my store.
