About me

I graduated in Graphic Design from Salford University three years ago, and am currently working in Covent Garden as a Graphic Designer for a publishing company. Here, I am solely responsible for designing two publications. This is a highly demanding role as in the last 3 months I have had to re-design both magazines on my own to introduce a more contemporary and innovative approach to laying out editorial content. Being accountable for everything - from layout, to re-touching, and preparing artwork for print has given me the essential skills required to work in a high-pressured design environment.

For the last year, I have also been working freelance with the marketing team at at a leading publisher to produce promotional material for the women's and men's titles. The work includes HTML emails, carrier sheets, page ads, flash banners, WH Smith P.O.S. and subscription letters. This work has proven my ability to design effectively in the different brand styles. I am highly skilled in Creative Suite 3 Premium and my expertise is with InDesign, Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver and Acrobat. I am also cross-platform proficient and feel at home with both PC and Mac operating systems. Passion and enthusiasm to create fashionable and innovative design.
