About me
Good Afternoon,
I'm writing in response to the position currently being advertised on the Creativepool website, please consider my resume in your search for a Junior Packaging and Branding Designer.
I've been involved in graphic design for just over five years and following my graduation with a first class degree I've spent time gaining a variety of experience, first within the digital print industry, working to strict production deadlines and dealing directly with clients on a daily basis. In my time at ACT I worked on everything from POS and one off large format banners through to packaging for wholesale goods.
Following six months of honing my understanding of the print industry I decided it was time to take a more challenging role, which led me to taking an in-house position with Blue Sky Enterprises. During my time there I worked primarily on visual communications for a small group of companies, creating new identities and developing marketing materials used to target new clients. I also designed exhibition displays for promotional events and redeveloped content for a number of websites.
After my spell as an in-house designer I felt the area of experience I was missing was agency side, so I focused my attention on applying to forward thinking agencies that would offer me the experience I was looking for. This led me to my current position at Doner, where I've been working primarily on digital marketing campaigns for a number of established brands, including Nikon, Fiat, Wilshire Farm Foods and The UPS Store. With the role centring primarily around creating artwork for email marketing, websites, print and social media campaigns. Aside from the exposure to a number of international brands I feel I've been able to develop my communication skills no end at Doner, as I've been working closely with a large team of account managers both in the US and the UK, to stay up to date with a vast array of the developing projects.
With an intrinsically creative nature and a driven desire to excel, I will offer a range of both manual and computer based design skills. With the ability to produce high quality outcomes within a set time frame, to both detailed and open specifications. As well as bringing a passion for innovation to any creative environment, whether working individually or as part of a team.
I have commercial experience of using Adobe Creative Suite programmes Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat and Bridge as well as a working knowledge of Quark Xpress and Microsoft Office programmes Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.
The accompanying resume will serve to provide you with further details of my accomplishments and what I have to offer.
I look forward to hearing from you and thank you for your time and consideration.
Yours Sincerely,
Ben O'Dwyer
