Dear Sir / Madam

As an experienced graphic designer with a BA Honours in Visual Communication, it may be surprising that I embrace the adage 'a picture paints a thousand words', as such, here is a link to my brand and portfolio found at I hope that my attached CV will go some way towards putting my work in context.

It is clear that this role within your company asks for more than a person who knows how to use design software and a pencil, you are likely seeking an all-rounder, a multi-disciplinarian who demonstrates excellence in the fine arts of organisation, collaboration and teamwork as much as anything. I confidently put myself forward as a young and tremendously enthusiastic individual, I truly identify with the role described and my zeal for the industry was recognised with a First Class degree in Visual Communication.

I have been developing my branded graphic design and illustration work for several years and have worked with a wide range of clients on a variety of projects, utilising exemplary communication skills to achieve results. My experience ranges from the creative side of design such as logos, advertisements, editorials and branding, to the more mechanical but high pressure side such as reformatting a medical instruction book into new languages and creating corporate brochures.

Some of my own work has been influenced by the study of semiotics and has involved an understanding of the audience emotional need to connect to the idea of the image at hand. Much of my portfolio reflects the intentional, market-savvy development of a 'house style', I am, however, quite the chameleon and have proven my ability to understand and express the wishes of others in any undertaking, even under tight deadlines.

I am well versed in Mac and PC software and self-organised, quickly absorbing new organisation procedures as required.
