About me
I am currently an English BA finalist at the University of Cambridge, where my specific interests are Visual Culture, Postcolonial Studies, and Afrofuturism. Throughout my time here, I have been involved in myriad different creative projects, such as designing, producing, and selling an original t-shirt brand with a friend, directing the creation of a zine by women and non-binary people of colour, and being involved in student access programmes between underprivileged schools and the university as the Access Officer of my college. I have also greatly enjoyed expanding my amateur graphic design portfolio by publicising various projects, from posters for theatre shows to facebook banners, to whole student campaign designs.
Now, I am looking for new challenges, and ways to expand my creativity My degree has taught me not only a passion for literature, for writing and communication and language, but also to see what a fundamental impact creative industries have on moulding the way societies function and interact with one another. My enthusiasm for excellent writing and excellent design comes from the same place -- of wanting to communicate ideas as effectively and evocatively as possible, of wanting to build bridges and inspire people.
