Digital Science is a global technology company supporting the research lifecycle, working with universities, publishers, funders and research organisations around the world.As the business grew, its HR team needed a clear and engaging way to introduce new starters to the organisation - who they are, how they work and where everyone fits into the bigger picture.ChallengeWith teams spanning different disciplines, geographies and specialisms, traditional onboarding materials struggled to communicate the scale and structure of Digital Science in a way that felt simple, human and memorable.The challenge was to help new starters understand not just how the organisation is structured, but how its different teams connect and work together.SolutionsWe created an animated onboarding film built around a central idea: the Periodic Table.Just as individual elements each have their own role and purpose but combine to create something greater, we represented Digital Science's teams as individual elements within one connected system.Using clean graphics, motion and storytelling, the film brings those elements together to explain the organisation, celebrate the importance of every team and show how they collectively support the global research community.
