Strange Hill high is an animated kids' comedy-mystery series set in a school where the secretive, strange and mysterious is the norm. Fremantle media wanted a game to use on broadcaster sites that would work on mobile and tablets as well as desktop computers, meaning it had to be created in HTML 5 . I have designed and animated for a number of these types of games now, so me and the team were aware of the many restrictions we were facing when coming up with the game concept. I used the same animation techniques as I used in the popular Andy's dinosaur adventure game and think the results are very smooth.

The game follows the episode "Big Mouth Strikes Again". The player can choose one of the three heroes from the show, they basically have to collect candy as they make their way through each level to keep Big mouth from eating them. Due to the strange nature of the show there are many weird things that happen during the game like reverse gravity, space in the middle of the school and a disco zone.

I also designed all of the UI elements in the game, titles and instructions have to be kept simple for ease when translating the game for other territories
