The aim with the cast expressions and poses was to capture a range of emotions, from confrontational to boredom. The cast were photographed together in camera to keep the interactions authentic. Colour and the painterly grade played an important role in the composition, with muted tones rather than punchy colour, inspired by works like The School of Athens by Raphael. We chose photographer Sane Seven to bring a female perspective to this very male environment.
