I'm very happy to announce a new version of the Bond classic ‘The Man with the Golden Gun’ for your enjoyment. This song is very interesting. On the original soundtrack the late John Barry included a slow version of the song, which included just a tiny part of Lulu’s vocal. I decided to expand that vocal to create a full song, and also put it together with the music that appears in the film. I used a number of analogue synthesisers including the classic Mellotron, and then I brought in the stunning Emma Smith who provided a spectacular vocal that sits centre stage. The reverb is so big on the vocal that it takes second place only to Celine Dion’s ‘My heart will go on’. I love that song! The result is a very haunting yet beautiful version of the song.
