ABOUT

An original doodle for a possible Coronation bottling was drawn up almost a decade ago by distinguished designer and artist David Holmes, intrinsic to Macallan publicity design from 1978 to 1994 and designer of prized Macallan labels including, famously, the legendary 1926 60 Year Old Bottling. This doodle was lost until found by his son Toby Holmes. It was decided this label design should be brought to life from the pencil sketch, so in collaboration with Toby, I helped create the vector files for, foiling and embossing, and coloured, stippled and crafted the rest of the design from these original sketches. It was released in time for King Charles III coronation.
