The kettle is on, come in ☕

My entry for the #itsmedraws November challenge: friendship, warmth and connection.

For me, warmth starts before anyone says a word. It’s the kettle going on, three cups on the table and a back room where old friends turn up with stories. I wanted the invitation itself to feel like a hug, so the words are written on the teapot and the steam spells out “come in”.

I went for a mid-century cut-paper look inspired by 1960s Czech posters: bold red, ink black and chunky hand-cut letters that tilt and jump.
