ABOUT

This project is a compilation of animations built from still images sourced from the internet — each one taken as raw material and reanimated using my own experimental process. Rather than a single piece, it’s a series: a collection of moments where I’ve picked apart an existing image and rebuilt it in motion, one experiment at a time.

The throughline across the compilation is “breaking design where nobody’s looking.” In each piece, I ignore the obvious focal point and go after what the original composition never intended to move — a shadow, a background texture, a compositional seam, a detail meant to stay still. Animating those overlooked elements exposes the hidden structure of the image and creates a quiet tension between what the picture was designed to show and what it does once it starts moving.

My method stays consistent across the set but never repeats itself exactly: unconventional timing, glitch logic, hand-manipulated frames, improvisational motion choices that avoid the polish of standard motion design. Put together, the compilation isn’t meant to look like a unified showreel — it’s meant to feel like a series of experiments, each one testing a different way to break a still image open and see what’s underneath.
