ABOUT
This poster captures the spirit of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift arriving in Sheffield by placing a lone rider mid-effort on a sweeping moorland road, descending from the Peak District hills toward the city. The composition draws on Sheffield’s identity as the “outdoor city” — gritstone-grey peaks, a reservoir, and autumnal red trees frame a road styled after the Tour’s iconic switchback graphics, while a stylised viaduct nods to the region’s industrial and engineering heritage.
The rider wears yellow as a direct link to the maillot jaune, reinforcing the Tour de France brand without relying on photography — the brief calls for illustration only, and the flat, faceted, low-poly style keeps the palette bold and energetic rather than dark or muted. The official Tour de France wordmark sits prominently in the sky, and the Sheffield Grand Départ lock-up anchors the bottom corner in the brand’s signature black-and-yellow diagonal banner, alongside the required race dates and Femmes avec Zwift designation.
Two formats were produced from the same artwork: a 40×60cm portrait version for print and a 4×3m landscape crop for large-format display, both keeping the rider and Sheffield lock-up as the focal anchor so the design reads clearly at both close and billboard scale.
