Before La Velvetta opened its doors, I was invited in for a complimentary pre-launch tasting — a chance to experience the menu before the rest of Doncaster ever could. I wasn’t expecting to fall in love with a restaurant that hadn’t even opened yet, but that’s exactly what happened. Every dish, from the bone-marrow butter salmon to the sticky toffee pudding, felt intentional, polished, and camera-ready.

I loved the food so much that I couldn’t just write about it — I animated it. What started as a review turned into a full set of animated food videos, bringing La Velvetta’s dishes to life with the same playfulness and care the kitchen put into every plate.
