ABOUT

Fogtown is a comedic mystery series following the madcap misadventures of Sherblock, a brilliant but easily distracted detective, as he and his trusty friend Blockson sets out to prove to the world that Sherblock is the star detective he believes himself to be!

The Mystery of the Moth Napper is our pilot episode of the series which we are currently developing and pitching to get it picked up for a full season. To create the pilot we used 3D printing to help create live puppets of our characters that were filmed in front of a miniature virtual production setup using Unreal Engine and Blender.

Not only did this keep the cost of having to build practical set down, but it really sped up the time it took to shoot content. On good days when the puppets weren't misbehaving, we were able to shoot a handful of script pages at a time. It was much faster than your typical production, let alone traditional animation pipelines.

The final pilot is the perfect union of old school film making, puppetry, and the newest technology being adopted by big Hollywood productions.-
