In 2023 Eurovision was in Liverpool - but of course it wasn’t our Eurovision - we were merely its caretakers.
When we learnt the 2022 Eurovision final had a global audience of over 161 million people, we saw an unmissable, once in a lifetime window of opportunity to do something for Ukraine. And as a proudly Liverpool headquartered agency with a global outlook and client base - we wanted to do this.
A year after the war started, when the horror has normalised in our daily news - we saw the huge media moment of Eurovision as a bigger opportunity to catapult beyond Liverpool and remind the world that Ukraine still needs our help.
Quite simply, we asked people around the World to help us create a huge moment of protest for, and in solidarity with, Ukraine.
And to do this through music.
Music & creativity being the antithesis of war & violence, and integral to Ukraine's cultural identity - which Putin wants to remove.
Everyone singing the same song - at the same time - & sharing it online to create a take-over.

The World’s biggest physical & digital flash mob.

A digital and physical protest 'moment', with a key moment at midday on Eurovision finals day 2023, led from flagship flash mob at locations across Liverpool people simultaneously performing The Beatles 'With A Little Help From My Friends'. (in English and Ukrainian) - joined by people performing the song across Ukraine and globally.
The campaign went global in a huge way receiving media coverage on TV, print, digital - across major media outlets in the UK, Ukraine and internationally.

The creation of an inclusive global platform and a community powered viral movement
It was overwhelming and transcended even our wildest hopes and dreams.
In just 4 months, we managed to build and enable an incredible, diverse and inclusive, global movement.
Anyone could join in and express their support through their own creativity.
Liverpool. Eurovision Finals Day. 12 noon - the 250 person PopVox female choir performed a spine-tingling flash mob at Museum of Liverpool. Attended by 100s including Ukraine’s ambassador to the UK and their Minister of Culture.
From across the world, we received the most incredible content.

In Ukraine an amazing network of performance arts & music institutions, of schools and of individuals each created their own incredible versions.

We partnered with War Child and President Zelenkyy’s UNITED24 to send donations directly back into the war effort. Purposeful brands and organisations such as Merlin Entertainment and social value businesses such as Regenda engaged their workforces around the initiative to have fun and rally around the moment.

On Eurovision Finals Day - across Ukraine and the World - a network of individuals, musicians, communities and organisations made this happen.
