ABOUT
This project was commissioned by the Trussell Trust’s Philanthropy team, in partnership with their Financial Inclusion team.
The Philanthropy team were tasked with building relationships with, and gaining support from major donors.
Financial Inclusion is a key component of the Trussell Trust’s long term strategy to create a UK without foodbanks. For as long as the social security safety net is inadequate to supoport vulnerable people, food banks will be required.
Financial Inclusion, and the Income Maximisation (‘IMAX’) programme which this project deals with, are about redressing this inadequacy while TT also seeks to change public policy to fix the problem at root.
This project was part of a wider communications brief to help the Philanthropy team gain funding from Major Donors to expand and drive the IMAX programme. In order to do this the animation needed to communicate:
(i) The nature of the problem – WHY social security is so inadequate, HOW people end up destitute and WHAT that looks like at a practical level
(ii) How the IMAX programme can address the problem
(iii) What major donors can do to support the programme.
