ABOUT
The project itself was a charity concert event for the NAS. It consists of a live Dungeons and Dragons gameplay accompanied by live music.
My role was to create print and online marketing material, to promote our event and identity to the community.
The materials created for this project were: flyers, posters, TV screen ad and web banners. The idea was to fuse the red in the D&D color schemes with our own identity of Dani the Dragon, with accurate, easy to read, concert information. I value and respect our artist in residence's work they did with the drawing of Dani, and tried to conserve the hand-drawn feel as well as complimenting it with the rest of the graphics information. Because this is a charity event, the feeling of it being family friendly and welcoming both non-D&D fans as well as those who play D&D was an important factor to consider.
So I went further and created colored smoke effects to the background to compliment to the sense of dynamic and a grand event to the marketing materials. This also helped to create a visual sense of diversity and a certain mystery being involved in the event for the audiences to be interested in.
My Designs resulted in the event getting more attention than it started out back in November, and the person in charge of the event being able to advertise on social media, local shops, the event venue, and in various conventions,
I hope to have contributed to getting as many audiences to attend the fantastic performance created by talented individuals in the team, and to raise as much money to the NAS as a result.
