In this series beauty and fragility are enhanced. Hand stitching takes the place of drawing, abstracting the subject, breaking down the features to a more vulnerable state. The thread 'melting' into the fabric representing delicate 'skin'. These pieces are inspired by literature, Ancient Egyptian tomb painting, religious relics and the movement of sleep.
