ABOUT

Mitra Villa is a four-bedroom, 4,553 sq ft home in Jumeirah Islands, Dubai. The renovation set out to create a brighter arrival, a more connected ground floor and a consistent interior identity linking the social areas, bedrooms and bathrooms.

Arta organized the interior around the villa’s double-height living hall. Pale stone-look flooring, full-height sheer curtains and clear glass balustrades help natural light pass through the entrance, main living area and upper landing. Dark stone stair treads and a suspended composition of amber glass pendants give the central volume contrast and a clear focal point.

Curved cream seating defines the main conversation area without obstructing circulation or views through the open ground floor. A custom oak display wall gives the dining area its own identity, while the charcoal kitchen introduces a denser material layer through full-height vertically detailed cabinetry, integrated appliances, open display niches and a dark stone island.

The private rooms use warmer finishes and more intimate lighting. Timber floors, upholstered headboards, bronze-toned wall panels and concealed light details shape the bedrooms. In the bathrooms, veined large-format surfaces are combined with walnut vanities, brushed brass fittings, vessel basins, freestanding sanitaryware and glass shower enclosures.

The completed renovation connects the house through a consistent palette of white, cream, charcoal, warm timber, bronze and natural greenery. The finished home has a clearer arrival sequence, an open social center, distinct kitchen and dining zones and private rooms with a warmer material character.

The project demonstrates how lighting, furniture placement, custom joinery and carefully selected finishes can organize a large villa interior without relying on numerous internal partitions.
