I had the privilege to collaborate with these talented performing artists. We are shooting their next music video in the following weeks.

The band previously began performing in 2015 with other members, playing at bars and wine farms, but had never adopted a name.
Knights Rook was then formed in 2016 by Tamlyn Grey (vocals, guitar, tambourine), Jacques Du Toit ( Bass and Box drum) and Simon Lambrecht (Box drum and guitar).
The current trio hails from the southern suburbs of Cape Town, with Table Mountain as their backdrop. They perform at local bars and wine farms across the city.
Combining their various musical backgrounds ranging from folk, blues, rock, indie - and a slight hint of metal – they create their own unique sound. Their various musical influences has culminated in a truly mesmerising sound. With Jacques’ flowing and assaulting bass lines, backed by Simon’s box drums rhythms, that sets the stage for Tamlyn’s vocals to soar and dazzle the audience with her extraordinary vocal range and delivery which is soulful and emotionally ladened.
