Created for University of Salford pop up event Carnival, we Motion Graphic Designers were tasked with coming up with the freak show portion of the event. I knew early on that I wanted to truly embrace the ideal and make my piece as dark as possible so I took inspiration from horror films. I particularly drew focus from the remake of The House on Haunted Hill and how the ghostly characters move. I didn't want the audience to know how the character looked as I wanted them to make up the impression themselves by how it acts and moves so at no point do you see the face of the freak. I ran the video through a couple free and rubbish compressors to make the video distorted and I added a recording of American hypnotherapist Milton Erickson (a man who would sexually abuse the patients who he hypnotised) after being suggested to by my tutor

This was my first major motion piece at University and also one of the most fun to make.
