ABOUT

Señora Sanasana is a bilingual English-Spanglish children’s picture book inspired by the traditional Latin American rhyme “Sana sana, colita de rana.” The story follows a warm and stylish Peruvian elder who, alongside her magical llama Llamita, helps the children in her multicultural community through everyday worries with kindness, comfort and a little magic.

I created the illustrations for the book, developing its characters, environments and colourful visual world. My aim was to produce warm, playful imagery that would engage young readers while reflecting the story’s themes of community, culture, care and childhood imagination.
