About us

Bobby Patel is the founder and CEO of Appy Food & Drinks. His entrepreneurial spirit came from his father and laid the foundations for his subsequent business ventures. He enrolled at Westminster University to study Business & Design but decided to opt for a more practical way of learning that would emulate his family’s tradition for self-employment.

In 2003, after four years in retail working for various fashion giants, Bobby led a new project in FMCG distribution, as well as launching the creative agency Clooci, due to his love for design and brand development. He vented his creativity by designing and partnering up with well-known licenses, successfully selling products for commercial and charitable purposes both domestically and abroad.

In 2013, Bobby decided to combine his experience in the food and drinks industry, with his passion for branding and marketing, by founding Appy Food & Drinks. Due to diabetes affecting his family, he decided to focus on products that could help solve the problems caused by a modern and typically unhealthy lifestyle. His notion was to create healthier and affordable options for families in a natural and ethical way, and following much research he was able to pioneer the first stevia based kids’ drink in the world. Following the success of this first range of drinks, Bobby and his team managed to formulate the first stevia ice popsicle, as well as one of the world’s first augmented reality packaging on the market.

Bobby has steered the company to many awards and great year-on-year growth, particularly in export markets – with a global presence in 27+ countries and triple digit sales growth since 2014. His main drive remains ‘people before profit’ and his continued commitment sees him passionately working to create new innovations, under the Appy Food & Drinks family of brands, that will leave a legacy for healthier generations.
