ABOUT
This is a Wedding Invitation Card designed for an Indian Hindu Wedding Ceremony.
In a Hindu wedding ceremony, the marriage is performed by the bhatji (priest), by tying the saree of the bride and the dupatta (stole) of the groom in a knot. This knot is called 'lagna gath' (wedding knot). Tying the knot symbolises the permanent union between the bride and groom as husband and wife.
This marriage knot has been symbolised in the wedding card design.
Knots have a significance in the folklore of many cultures and usually symbolize unbreakable pledges.
