ABOUT

Soon my "Barbaranalogica" project with the talented artist Barbara van Ittersum will be out. It was a privilege and an honor for me, I invested sweat and passion in this experience. I was tremendously intrigued by her work as an artist but I still didn't understand how enlightening that meeting would be.
Making this book has been a journey for both me and Barbara, obviously for different reasons. A trip down memory lane, at times exciting and other times very painful, brought that hidden brilliance out of her soul, her outrageous and romantic genius exploded by those five plastic boxes full of contact sheets and negatives. For me, however, it was a sense of gratitude. I really felt privileged to be able to enjoy so much beauty, so much artistic courage and these continuous incarnations - almost as if they were 100 lives in one - that I necessarily had to tell this story. I wanted you to experience this descent into hell and the coming back to life too. Shameless. Proudly
