Problem:

Storing pizza cutters in a kitchen draw is difficult and potentially harmful due to lack of space and a sharp exposed blade.

Solution:

Our solution was to create a clear guard that covered the blade when not in use and flipped open at the touch of a button when required. The removal of a handle made storage easier and had the added advantage of cutting pizza more easily by placing the weight of the hand directly over the blade.
