About me

Above all, I am very, very curious.

Exciting the reader's imagination is my prime motivation.

I am very adept at inspiring and witty dialogue that flows.

I have written for many types of media for the past thirty years, including magazines, newspapers, radio, brochures, video, and the Internet. My diverse background in arts and sciences enables me to tackle myriad subjects, and my life experience as a student, traveler, husband and father, artist, and gardener, grounds me to the real world.

Taking inspiration from the artists of the Renaissance I am able to express myself in many mediums-film, photography, video, radio, in addition to the written word.

Adding a dramatic edge to any piece enlivens it.

From my subscription to Science Digest in High School to the thick minute by minute sequences procured from NASA-I lived in Houston-for each for the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo missions, science has been a passion of mine, even if the math stopped me cold in my quest to become an astronomer. Instead I am a stargazer. I have been on two mountain lion studies, which included a lengthy close encounter with Felis concolor. I kept a weather station for a dozen years in the Sangre de Cristo foothills near Taos. I keep track of meteor showers, bird migrations, goings on

I take deadlines very seriously and do my best to deliver a well researched and well thought out article/essay.

I have completed two historical novels and just finished a coming of age novel about growing up in the 60's., in addition to numerous short stories.
