About me

Creative, bilingual individual, confortable to multi task.Being bi-lingual I have worked as both teacher, translator and as a museum guide at the Musée dâ€(TM)Orsay. Working at the museum was incredibly enjoyable and rewarding. I have experience of dealing with people from all backgrounds, ages and ethnicities. I am very considerate and helpful and consider my approach depending upon whom I am talking to. My historical and technical background in the Arts gives me a wide understanding of the Arts and Design world. As an Art Historian, I have learnt to perform research, classify and interpret different types of material. It also made me very keen in keeping up to date with the contemporary art scene. As a free lance photographer, I have learnt to react quickly, adapt to the lighting conditions, be inobstrusive when needed, get the most out of my models and insure all the post production on Photoshop. As a photographerâ€(TM)s assistant, I had the opportunity to work in a studioâ€(TM)s environment, using both traditional and digital SLR as well as lighting equipment.I process a considerable amount of my own photographic work through Photoshop and have a strong understanding of colour correction and know how to get the best out of the tools available. As creative director of my fashion business, I have had to be highly organised balancing business pressures with dealing with the public. This experience gave me the opportunity to also multi task creatively. I was in charge of the interior design, the buying, the window and shop display. I organized photo shoots to create promotional pictures, choosing the setting, the models and the clothes. Working with Vintage clothing has given me a keen eye and attention to detail. As a buyer I became adept at selecting desirable garments, scrutinizing each item for faults.I am experienced and comfortable in selling. I worked in particular as an exhibition assistant, interpreter and sale representative at French traders shows, promoting an English brand of childrenâ€(TM)s wear.My extensive experience as a customer service representative insures my employers a high level of customer service and appropriate manners on the phone. I am mindful of language barriers and am confident in handling either a group of children or a demanding customer. I am flexible, self-motivated and enthusiastic. Many of my jobs, from accountant to project and distribution officer, involved using computers and data inputting. Through my own business as a shop owner, an accountant and various part time jobs I am very familiar with computerized tills, security and the handling of cash in the sales context.I am flexible, self-motivated and enthusiastic. In my many roles I have been called upon to work late hours and cover shifts at short notice. Being self employed it is necessary to be driven and self motivated in order to succeed. I am used to working hard, problem solving and being professional. Owning my own shop has highlighted to me just how much I enjoy interacting with the public.I have proven to be a responsible and trustworthy employee while working with children, selling other peopleâ€(TM)s products or gaining public art funding for a personal arts project.
