ABOUT
"Between Jawia and Nawia" is a digital illustration inspired by Slavic mythology and the concept of transition between worlds.
The artwork explores a liminal state — suspended between Jawia (the realm of the living) and Nawia (the realm of spirits), where reality begins to fracture and identity transforms. The female figure, guided by owls — symbols of night, intuition, and hidden knowledge — embodies a consciousness caught between instinct and awareness.
This piece is part of a larger series focused on themes of transformation, nature, and Slavic symbolism, combining atmospheric storytelling with a strong, recognizable visual style.
The illustration has also been adapted into product design (apparel and print), showing how narrative-driven artwork can translate into wearable and functional formats without losing its identity.
